Mashable.com is one of the most popular technology blogs. When you visit the blog, you will surely like its menu. Mashable’s menu display few recent posts of different categories on hover. When you hover next item, it will load the content of the that category. If you want this kind of mega menu for your blog, I have an easy solution. If you try to design this, you can if you have idea of CSS and jQuery. But you can get the similar kind of mega menu by installing a simple Plugin called “MashMenu”. MashMenu plugin is developed by Cactus Themes.
MashMenu is not a free plugin but it is affordable and worth to buy. It costs only $14 which is not much if you see what features it offers.
With a powerful backend, you can easily add your own logo, customize menu, add menu options, change color of menu, add custom CSS, Choose font-awesome icons for menu and many other things. Menu is retina ready and responsible. It offers almost similar things which you see in Mashable. With drag and drop support, you can easily add social media icons, search box and other menu icons.

While writing the post, I found that developers have also decided to remove this plugin but they didn’t specify the date. if you are interested, you need to be quick before it goes down.
Note: It does not automatically replace the theme’s menu, You need to remove the default menu of your theme in order to use Mashmenu. For this, you can check the header.php file of your theme and remove wp_nav_menu() function to stop rendering the theme’s default navigation.
